Rasta Cafe

Our cafe is tucked away at 29/1 on South Nepean Sea Road in Jayanagar. It’s got a bit of a different vibe compared to the stuffier places nearby. We’ve got some outdoor seating where people like to sit and talk for way too long. The decor is just stuff we liked and put up over time, nothing was really planned by a designer. We get a mix of students and people who work in the area coming in. The kitchen is small, so when it’s busy, you might have to wait a little longer than usual for your food. We don't mind if you stay for a while with a single drink; we aren't the type to push people out. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, but nobody seems to complain too much. We focus on just being a place where you can relax without feeling like you’re being watched. We’ve got a lot of plants that we try to keep alive, though some do better than others. It’s a bit worn in around the edges, but we think that makes it feel more like home. We aren't trying to win any awards. We just want to serve some decent food and have a good time while we're at it. On rainy days, it gets a bit damp near the entrance, but we just put down some rugs and carry on. It’s a slow pace here and that's how we like it.
