Rameshwar Provision Store

Our shop is located right on Vidyapeetha Road, near the Mysore Road section of Kengeri. It is a very busy part of the road with buses and motorcycles zooming past all the time. The shop at number 116 is where we spend almost all of our time. We keep big bags of rice, different kinds of dals, and all the spices you might need for your kitchen. You can usually smell the spices as soon as you step inside the door. We have been here for so many years that our regular customers don't even ask where things are anymore. They just walk in and grab their usual items from the shelves. It gets a bit dusty because there is always some road work happening nearby, so we have to wipe the jars down quite often. We don't have a big team of workers, just a couple of us who manage everything. The shop stays open even when the heavy rains come, which happens quite a bit in this part of town. We have those heavy metal shutters that rattle a lot when we open them up in the morning. It is a humble place and we don't bother with big advertisements. People find us because we have been a part of this street for such a long time. We still keep a paper ledger for the people who live nearby and pay monthly. It is based on trust. Kengeri has changed so much, but we are still here doing our thing.
