Ramesh & Co.

We've been on the Main Road here in Sarjapur for quite some time now. People know the spot because of the traffic usually, but it’s home for us. Ramesh started this whole thing years back with just a small desk and a bit of energy. Now, it’s a bit more crowded with stuff everywhere, but we know where everything is kept. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast. Most days are the same, just people coming in and asking about things, and us trying to figure it out for them. We don't have a big fancy reception or anything like that. It’s just a place where work happens. Sometimes the tea guy from down the street comes by and that’s the highlight of the morning. We try to keep things simple because that's just how we are. There isn't any big secret to it. We just show up, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. Sometimes it's a lot of work, sometimes it’s quiet enough to actually organize the shelves, though that doesn't happen often. If you walk past the big tree on the corner, you’ll see our sign. It’s a bit faded from the sun, but it still says the name clearly enough. We don't spend much on advertising because the regulars know where to find us and that seems to work out okay for everyone involved.
