R A Catering

Our kitchen for R A Catering is at No.15/3 on the 1st Cross. We are located on Seppings Road, very close to the Om Shakti Temple. It’s a small, tucked-away street, but we’ve made it our home for a long time. We do mostly local catering for things like small family gatherings and neighborhood events. It’s a family-run operation. My brother and a few others help out with the cooking and carrying the heavy stuff. We didn’t start with much, just some basic equipment and a lot of work. Now we have a bit more, but it’s still a very simple way of working. The days start very early for us because we need to get to the market for fresh stuff. Seppings Road is always packed with traffic, so moving our van in and out can be a real headache. We don’t have a marketing person or a fancy website. Most of the people who call us just live nearby or heard about us from a friend. We just focus on getting the food right and making sure there is enough for everyone. It’s hot work, standing over big pots for hours. Sometimes we run late when the traffic is bad, which happens a lot in this area. We just do our best to get there. It’s a lot of manual labor, but we are used to it. We don't use fancy titles or corporate talk here.
