Purvika Concrete Block

We’ve got our yard set up at 368 Kathriguppe Road in Srinivasnagar. If you walk by this way, you’ll probably see the stacks of concrete blocks drying out in the sun. It’s a bit of a messy business, with sand and cement dust getting on everything, but that’s just how blocks are made. We’ve been in Srinivasnagar for a good while and know the streets well. The machines we use for mixing can be quite loud in the early mornings. I usually start the day by checking on the batches we poured the day before to see if they are set. Sometimes the mix isn't quite right because of the rain or humidity, so we have to adjust things on the fly. People from the neighborhood come by when they are building a new wall or just a small shed in their garden. We don't really have a sales team or anyone in suits. It’s mostly just us and a few workers handling the heavy lifting and loading. Kathriguppe Road stays busy with traffic, so getting the delivery trucks in and out can be a bit of a headache during rush hour. We try to keep the stacks neat so they don't fall over and cause a mess. It’s physical work and your hands get pretty rough from handling the concrete all day. We don't spend much time in the small office we have. Most of the work happens outside under the tin shed. It’s a simple business.
