We’re set up in Cholanayakanahalli, right over in the RT Nagar area of Bangalore. Our place is called Ashasbsridhar Kamalanilaya, which is basically a house where we’ve turned part of it into our working space. Most of the time, the rooms are filled with the sound of printers or people talking on their mobiles. It’s a busy part of town, and the streets around here can be a real mess with all the parked bikes. We deal with a lot of people looking for work and companies trying to find staff. It’s mostly just sorting through folders and keeping track of names. We don’t have a big glass front or anything, just a regular gate and a doorbell. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is in this neighborhood. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time now. The local tea stall is where we usually end up when things get too hectic inside. It’s not some big polished agency with uniforms. We wear what’s comfortable and focus on the lists we have to finish. People walk in from the street sometimes asking for directions or about jobs. We try to help them out as best as we can without making things too complicated. The fans are always running because it gets warm in the afternoons. It’s a plain way of working, but it keeps us busy every day.
