Primus Public School

We are out here in Chikanayakanahalli Village, which is just off Sarjapur Road. Primus Public School has been part of this landscape for a while. The address says P.O. Box 21, but most people just know us as the big gate near the village turnoff. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the center of the city, but it’s much quieter out this way. You can still see some of the old trees and fields around us, though more buildings are going up every year. Our daily life is pretty simple. We open the gates early, and the buses start rolling in from all over. The school grounds are fairly spread out. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place running, like making sure the water is working and the hallways are swept. It’s a practical environment. We don’t have much use for corporate polish. It’s more about the actual work of being in a village school. Sometimes the power goes out or the road gets muddy after a big rain, but we just deal with it. The staff knows the local area well, and we mostly keep to ourselves. It’s a good, solid place to spend the day. There isn’t much fuss here, just the sound of the wind and the kids. We like the pace of being off the main Sarjapur stretch. It feels real.
