Prime Labels Pvt Ltd is set up at 59 Peenya. If you know anything about this area, you know Peenya is all about factories and people making things. Our place is no different from the rest of the block. We spend our time working with these big printing machines and massive rolls of sticky paper. The main sound in our building is the steady, rhythmic hum of the presses running. It can be a bit repetitive after a few hours, but there is a rhythm to it that we all just get used to. We aren't one of those big companies with a fancy lobby or a receptionist at the front. You walk through the door and you are pretty much standing right in the middle of the work area. There are stacks of labels waiting to be cut or packed in boxes everywhere you look. We try to keep things moving as fast as the machines will go. Sometimes a press breaks down and we have to get our hands greasy fixing it ourselves, which is just part of the day. The staff here is mostly local folks who have been in the printing line for a long time. We don't have fancy titles or long meetings. We just check the order sheets and start the machines up. Peenya is a busy, gritty place to be, and we fit right in with all the other workshops. It’s a lot of manual work and sometimes we go home with ink stains.
