You can find us over at 859 Begur, which is right near the big Ganesha Temple. It’s a pretty quiet spot compared to the main city, which we actually like quite a bit. Most of the people who come to us are locals from the neighborhood who have known us for years. The office is small and simple, with just enough room for us to sit and talk to whoever walks in. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. People usually just find us by word of mouth or because they saw us while going to the temple for morning prayers. Every morning starts the same way, opening the metal shutters and sweeping the front step. We handle various service requests, and no two days look exactly the same. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it’s completely silent for hours. We don’t mind either way. There’s a small tree right outside that gives some nice shade in the afternoons, which is where we usually take our lunch break. The work we do isn't glamorous, but it’s practical and it helps the people around here with their daily needs. We’ve been in this same spot for a long time, so we know most of the faces that pass by the window. It feels more like a community than just a place of work. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing every single day until it's time to go home.
