About Pooja'S Gourmet Kitchen – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
We started Pooja'S Gourmet Kitchen over here on 10th Main in the 6th Sector of New Thippasandra because we just liked to cook. It’s not a huge place, mostly just a kitchen area where we spend most of our hours. It gets quite hot in there with the stoves going all day, and there's always the smell of spices in the air. We don’t have a lot of staff, just a few people who know their way around a pan. Most of our day is spent prepping ingredients, chopping vegetables, and making sure everything is ready for the orders. We’re tucked away a bit in New Thippasandra, but people seem to find us well enough. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when several orders come in at once, but we just keep at it. The floors are usually a bit sticky by the afternoon, and there’s always a pile of dishes waiting in the sink. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We don’t really go in for fancy presentations or anything, we just focus on the food itself. The neighbors sometimes pop their heads in to see what's cooking. It’s a local operation, nothing more, nothing less. We just try to get the food out on time and keep the kitchen running smoothly. It’s been a learning process, figuring out how much to buy each week and dealing with the morning rush at the market. We just keep cooking every day.
