Play Salon & Spa

Our shop, Play Salon & Spa, is inside the Mantri Square Mall on Sampige Road. We are up on the second floor at No.S17/18. Malleswaram is a great area, and being in the mall means there is always a lot of foot traffic. People are usually here shopping for clothes or heading to the cinema and they decide to stop by. It’s different from a street-side shop because everything is very controlled inside the mall. We have to follow the mall's hours, so we stay open quite late. The air conditioning is always running which is nice since Bangalore can get pretty warm. It’s a decent-sized space with several stations for hair and private rooms for spa treatments. I spend a lot of my time making sure the towels are folded and the products are stocked on the shelves. It can get very loud on the weekends when the mall is packed with families. Sometimes kids run past the front window and it’s a bit distracting, but we are used to it by now. We have a good team of people working here who know what they are doing. We don't bother with fancy mission statements. We just show up, do the work, and go home. It’s a busy environment but we like the energy of the mall. It’s a good place for a salon because people are already in the mood to take care of themselves.
