P Srinivasa Murthy is a small business located in the Textile Colony of Jeevan Bhima Nagar. This area has a lot of history with fabrics and trade, and we’ve been part of the community for quite some time. We don’t have a flashy storefront or big advertisements. Most people just know where we are by walking through the colony. We handle different types of goods, mostly focusing on what the local residents and other small shops need. Our space is filled with rolls of cloth and various supplies stacked up to the ceiling. It’s a bit cramped, but we know exactly where everything is. We spend our days talking to suppliers and helping customers who come in looking for something specific. It’s a very personal way of doing business. We don't use computers for everything; a lot of our accounts are still kept in hand-written books. It feels more real that way. The neighborhood is tight-knit, and we know our neighbors well. There’s a certain pace to life here in the Textile Colony that we really enjoy. We open early and stay until the sun goes down. We don't have a big mission statement or any corporate goals. We just want to provide what we have at a fair price and keep the business running for another year.
