Oracle (India) Pvt Ltd has an office here at Chikkadugodi, near the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus area. It is an interesting spot because you get all the energy from the station nearby. Even though the name sounds big, our daily reality is just a group of people in an office building trying to get through the queue of tasks. The elevators are sometimes slow, so many of us just take the stairs to the 18th floor. It is a good workout, honestly. The desks are lined up in rows, and there is always the hum of computers running in the background. We do not have a lot of wall decorations, just some calendars and maybe a few personal photos here and there. Lunchtime is the best part of the day when everyone opens their tiffin boxes and the whole floor smells like home-cooked food. We deal with a lot of data and systems, which can be dry work, but the people here make it better. We share jokes and complain about the long commute together. It is not like those polished corporate videos you see online. It is just real people working a job. We have a small balcony where you can see the trains moving in the distance. It is a nice place to stand for five minutes when your eyes get tired. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done.
