Our place is up on the 3rd floor over in Madivala. Being on an upper floor means you have to take the elevator or the stairs, which some people don't like, but it’s a bit quieter up here away from the street noise. We have a fairly large dining area with tables spread out so people aren't sitting on top of each other. The kitchen is tucked away in the back, and you can hear the pans clanking if you listen closely. We spend a lot of time polishing the silverware and making sure the menus aren't sticky. It’s a lot of walking back and forth from the kitchen to the tables all day. Madivala is always crowded outside, so it’s nice to have this space upstairs where things feel a bit more controlled. We don't use any fancy tablecloths or anything, just plain setups that are easy to wipe down. Sometimes the elevator gets stuck or is slow, which is a bit of a pain for everyone involved. The hallway leading to our door is a bit dimly lit, but once you get inside, it opens up. We keep a stack of extra chairs in the closet for the big groups that show up without calling. We have a team that’s been together for a while, so we mostly know what we’re doing without having to talk much.
