You can find us on Narayana Pillai Street in Shivaji Nagar, near the GRR kalyana mantapa. It’s a very crowded area, always full of people and activity. Our shop is at number 291. Shivaji Nagar is the kind of place that never really sleeps, and there’s always some noise coming from the street. We’ve got a small space here, but it’s enough for what we do. The kalyana mantapa brings in a lot of people during wedding seasons, so we stay pretty busy then. Sometimes people are in a big rush because they have a function to attend. We do our best to keep up. The interior isn't anything special, just some mirrors and the chairs we’ve had for a long time. The floor is a bit uneven in one spot, so you have to watch your step. We’ve known the other shopkeepers on this street for years. We all look out for each other. If we run out of change, we just go next door and ask. It’s a tight-knit spot despite how busy it is. The light in Shivaji Nagar is different in the evenings when all the street lamps come on. We stay open until fairly late most nights. It’s just how things are in this part of Bangalore. We don't bother with much advertising because people just know we’re here. We’ve been here since the old days, and we don’t see much reason to change how we do things now. It's just home.
