The shop sits right on AMC Main Road in Kadugondanahalli. If you look across the street, you’ll see Sadiya Enterprises right there, so it is easy to find. It is just a small place where people from the neighborhood come to get their hair done. Most days, it gets pretty busy in the evenings when everyone is finishing work. We have a few chairs and some old mirrors that have seen better days, but they do the job. You can hear the traffic outside all the time, especially the buses going towards the main junction. Sometimes we keep the door open to let a breeze in, but then the dust comes in too. People usually just drop by without calling. They sit on the bench and talk about whatever is happening in Bangalore that day while they wait. We’ve got the usual stuff like scissors, combs, and a couple of clippers that we keep clean. It isn't a fancy place with air conditioning or anything like that. Just a regular spot where you can get a haircut and maybe a shave if you have the time. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping it up between customers. It’s a simple routine that repeats every day from morning until late night. Most of the guys who come here live just a few streets away, so we know most of the faces quite well by now.
