Noble Sewing Classes

My mother started this place because she liked to sew. Now we just have a few machines here in Kalyan Nagar 2. People come by to learn how to fix their clothes or make a dress for their kids. It is not a big school or anything fancy. Just some tables and chairs where we sit and work together. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with all the needles going, but that is how it is. We spend most of our time showing people how to thread the machines without getting frustrated. It takes patience. Some folks learn fast, others take a few weeks just to get a straight line. That is okay. We do not rush anyone. The room is usually full of scraps of fabric and different colors of thread. It stays busy most afternoons. If you walk past, you will probably hear the hum of the motors. We have been here for a while now. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are. It is just a simple place to pick up a skill that is actually useful. You bring your own cloth and we show you what to do with it. We also have a big box of buttons that people can dig through. It is a bit messy. Sometimes we just sit and drink tea while we figure out a tricky pattern. The light is good in the mornings because of the window in the front. It is a cozy little spot.
