Nithya Nirmala

We are up on the 2nd floor at 15 Marthahalli. It’s a busy spot, especially being so close to Maa Bazar. If you’ve ever been to Marthahalli, you know the traffic is something you have to plan your whole life around. The noise from the main road reaches us even on the second floor. Nithya Nirmala is the name on the door, though it’s a small sign. The office isn't very large. We have a few desks and some cupboards for all the supplies. We spend our time managing the day-to-day work, mostly coordinating things over the phone. It’s a lot of talking and making sure people are where they need to be. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep, so we tell people to take their time. The view from the window is just more buildings and the tops of buses. It’s not exactly pretty, but it’s the heart of the action. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of the people who come to us are referred by someone else. We keep things plain and simple. No big promises, just the work we do every day. By the time evening rolls around, the whole area is glowing with lights from the shops below. We usually finish up late and join the crowd heading towards the bus stop.
