Nirvana Unisex Salon

Nirvana Unisex Salon is located on the second floor of a building on Neeladri Main Road in Electronic City Phase 1. We are right above the Bata showroom, which is a good landmark for people trying to find us. Electronic City is always moving fast with all the IT offices around here. The road outside is usually blocked with company buses and cars during the mornings and evenings. I have to climb up the stairs to get to work every day. The salon has a few different sections for different things. It’s a bit bigger than some of the street-side shops but it still feels like a local place. I keep the windows shut mostly to keep out the noise from the main road. The lighting inside is bright because we need to see what we are doing clearly. I usually have some music playing softly so it isn’t too quiet when there are no customers. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so everyone just takes the stairs. I spend my time checking the bottles of shampoo and making sure the towels are dry. People from the nearby apartments and offices stop by, usually looking a bit tired from their long shifts. It’s a plain, functional space where we get the job done and keep things running as best as we can despite the Bangalore traffic outside.
