Niranjan Grocery Store

Niranjan Grocery Store is located at 217, Chikkabanavara Main Road in the Mathikere area. We have been running this shop for a good number of years now. Mathikere is a very lively part of the city, and being on the Chikkabanavara Main Road means we see a lot of different people every day. Our store at number 217 is not very big, but we try to keep it packed with all the essentials. We spend our mornings taking deliveries of fresh goods and our evenings helping the local residents get what they need for dinner. It is a lot of physical labor, like carrying heavy sacks of grain and arranging small jars on the shelves. We don't have any corporate training or polished uniforms. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to people like neighbors. The floor is made of simple cement and it gets worn down from all the foot traffic. Sometimes the traffic on the main road is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard, but it is all part of the daily routine. We don't have a computer to ring up sales. We just use a basic calculator and keep the cash in a wooden drawer. It is a very old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us and the people in Mathikere. We aren't trying to be the biggest store around. We just want to keep our shelves stocked and stay open for the people who rely on us.
