Nilgiris

Our place is tucked away on the 5th Cross in Prakruthi Layout. If you’re familiar with the HBR Layout area in Bangalore, you probably know how crowded it can get around the 5th Block during rush hour. We are over by the Kalyanagar Post near Hennur, so there are always people walking past the shop. The place has that regular neighborhood feel where you end up knowing the names of the people who stop by every morning. It gets really busy on the weekends when everyone in the layout is out doing their grocery shopping or picking up something they forgot. We spend a lot of time just unpacking boxes and making sure the milk and bread are fresh on the shelves. The Bangalore weather is usually quite nice, so we don't mind having the front open to the street. Sometimes the big delivery trucks have a bit of a hard time getting down the 5th Cross because the cars are parked on both sides, but they manage. It’s not a huge supermarket, just a local Nilgiris where people come for their daily bits and pieces. We don’t have those fancy automatic doors or loud music playing. Most of the time, we’re just restocking or chatting with the neighbors who have lived here for years. The post office nearby keeps the area lively. We’ve been here in this part of Hennur for a while, and it’s just a normal, busy life.
