New Style Salon

I’ve been running New Style Salon here in Lingarajapuram for a while now. We are right on Oil Mill Road, specifically at No 252/2 in Aravind Nagar. If you know where the Oil Mill Road Park is, we are just opposite to that. It’s a busy spot especially with City Bakery nearby. People usually find us easily because of the bakery. It’s a simple place. I open up early, get the chairs ready, and wait for the regulars to come in. Most of the folks who come here live just a few blocks away. We talk about the weather or how the traffic is getting worse on the main road. It gets quite lively in the evenings when people are heading home from work. Being near the park means we see a lot of kids playing out there while parents wait. The address says Bangalore 560084, but to us, it’s just the neighborhood we know. We do the usual haircuts and shaves, nothing too fancy, just regular work for the people around here. Sometimes the shop gets crowded and people have to sit on the bench outside for a bit. It’s been like this for some time. We like being in this part of Aravind Nagar because it feels like a community. You see the same faces every day. It is a straightforward business and we just focus on getting the job done right so people come back next month. Actually, some days are slower than others but that’s just how it goes with a small shop like this.
