The shop is tucked away a bit, but we still get plenty of people coming in from the main road. The chairs we use are the heavy metal ones that can spin around, and they are quite comfortable once you settle in. There is always a stack of Kannada newspapers on the side table for people to read while they wait. The floor is a bit worn down from years of people walking in and out, but we keep it clean. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know our way around a pair of clippers and a comb. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop directly, so it can get a bit warm, but we have a couple of ceiling fans that keep the air moving. We don't do anything flashy, just the standard haircuts and shaves that people have been asking for since we first started. It’s a steady kind of work and we like being near the circle where all the action is.
