New Punjabi Food Corner

Electronic City is a fast-moving place, always filled with people rushing somewhere. We set up New Punjabi Food Corner because we noticed people around here just needed a real meal that didn't come out of a plastic package. It is nothing fancy at all. Just a small shop where the smell of the cooking fills up the air. We open up the shutters early to start on the dal. My hands usually end up smelling like onions and garlic by ten in the morning. It is quite a lot of work to keep up with the lunch crowd when all the nearby offices let out at the same time. We have some benches for sitting, but mostly people just stand and eat their food quickly before they have to head back to work. We have seen this whole area change a lot over the years. There are more buildings and way more traffic than when we first started out. But the way we cook things hasn't changed much at all. We still use the same big pots we always have. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just keep on going with whatever light we have. It is just part of the job. Most of our customers are the same regulars who work in the buildings nearby. They don't really want a menu with pretty pictures. They just want to know what is hot and ready to eat. We try to keep things honest. We are just a corner shop in Electronic City doing things our way. It gets loud.
