About New Indus Valley Residential School – Education in Bengaluru
New Indus Valley Residential School is out in Virgonagar, near Garden City College. Being a residential school means the place never really sleeps. Even after the classes are over, there are kids living here, so it’s more than just a workplace for us. It’s a collection of buildings where people eat, sleep, and study. We spend a lot of time on the grounds, making sure everything is holding together. The location near the college makes it easy for people to find us, but Virgonagar itself is a bit quieter than the center of the city. We have our own rhythm out here. The staff stays on top of the daily chores, from checking the dorms to making sure the kitchen is running. It isn't a glamorous life, but it's what we do. The rooms are plain and the hallways are long. We don't have fancy decorations or anything that looks like it belongs in a magazine. It’s a functional space designed for living and learning. You’ll often see us walking across the yard between different buildings, carrying books or supplies. The weather out here can be a bit dry, and the wind picks up in the afternoons. We just go about our business, keeping the place running for the students who call it home for most of the year. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we just take it one day at a time without any fuss or extra polish.
