Down here in Nayandahalli at number 76, we have the shop open from early morning until late in the evening. It is a busy spot with all the vehicles constantly passing by on the main road. The showroom floor is not huge but we cram in as much as we can so people have enough choices when they walk in. Usually, it is just a couple of us working here, cleaning the glass or moving items around to make space for new deliveries that arrive during the week. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside even when the doors are shut, so there is a lot of dusting to do every single day. Customers come in looking for different things, some just to browse and others who know exactly what they want. We do not do much talking unless someone asks a question about a price or how a particular item works. The building itself is older, but it serves the purpose for what we need. We keep a simple ledger for the sales and try to remember where everything is stored in the back room. It gets quite hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front windows directly. Most people from around this neighborhood know the landmark. We have seen the whole area change quite a bit over the years, with more buildings coming up and the traffic getting much worse. It is just a simple, local setup.
