National Readymix Concrete

National Readymix Concrete is situated down at 239 Mysore Road, inside the Mysore Feeds Compound in Nilehally. It is a big area because we need the room for the transit mixers and the batching equipment. Being on Mysore Road means there is a lot of heavy traffic, and we are right in the thick of it. You can hear the machines running from quite a distance away. The ground is always covered in a bit of grit and spilled concrete, which is just part of the territory when you are mixing large batches all day. We have a small office tucked away in the compound where we handle the dispatching. It’s a lot of coordination to make sure the trucks leave on time and get to the sites before the concrete starts to set. The Nilehally area is very industrial, so we fit right in with the other warehouses and plants nearby. It is a 24-hour kind of operation sometimes, depending on the demand from the city. We don't spend much time making the place look pretty; we just make sure the mixers are turning and the aggregates are stocked up in the bins. The staff here are mostly local guys who know how to handle the heavy machinery and the pressure of a busy pour day. We’ve been at this Mysore Road location for years, and it's become second nature to handle the grit and the constant noise. Every day brings a new set of orders that keep us on our toes until the last truck rolls out.
