I’ve been running this LIC spot in Whitefield for a good while now. It’s not a huge office with glass walls, just a simple place where I handle insurance papers and talk to folks about their plans. Whitefield has changed a lot since I started, with all the big buildings and traffic, but I’ve stayed right here. People come in to pay their premiums or ask about what happens with their policies. I spend a lot of my time explaining the different forms. Sometimes I have to go out and meet people at their homes if they can't make it to the office. It’s a lot of manual work, keeping track of folders and receipts in the cabinets. I don’t have a big team or anything, just a few people helping me out with the filing. We keep a pot of tea going most of the day. It’s a quiet kind of work compared to the tech companies down the road. I like the pace, though. It feels more personal when you know the families you are helping with their futures. Most of my clients are neighbors or people who have been with me for years. We just sit at the old wooden desks and get the work done. It’s a basic setup, but it works for what we do. If you're looking for me, I'm usually around unless I'm out on a call or visiting a client.
