Mughali Chef Ki Pani Kum Chai

Out on HKP Road near Gangadhar Chetty Road 26, you will see our place, Mughali Chef Ki Pani Kum Chai. The name is a bit long, but it tells you what we do. We make tea that is strong and doesn't have too much water in it. We start early in the morning, getting the milk and the tea leaves ready before the sun is even fully up. People stop by on their way to work to grab a quick cup and maybe a snack. We have big metal pots that stay on the heat all day long. The shop is small and mostly open to the street, so you can hear all the traffic and the people walking by. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some shelves for the glasses and the tea supplies. Our hands are usually busy pouring or washing up in the small sink at the back. It is a simple life, talking to the regulars and keeping the stove going. Sometimes it rains and everyone crowds under our small awning to stay dry while they drink. We see the same faces every day, and we know how most people like their tea without them having to say it. It is just a local spot where you can get a hot drink for a few coins. We don't try to be anything other than what we are.
