Mphasis

Mphasis is located over by St. Xavier's College in Kolkata. If you know the area around Park Street and the college, you know it’s always full of students and has a lot of history in the air. The buildings around here are old, some with those high ceilings and thick walls that keep things a bit cooler in the humid Kolkata summers. We don't have one of those modern office park addresses; we’re right in the thick of the city’s heart. The walk from the college area to our door is always interesting because there’s so much to see, from the old bookshops to the people selling snacks on the pavement. Our office isn't very large, and it definitely looks like it’s been lived in. We have our desks crammed in where they fit, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it suits us just fine. There’s a certain charm to being in this part of town that you don't get in the newer developments like Salt Lake. We usually head out for a tea in those small clay cups whenever we need a break from the computers. The traffic around here is always a bit chaotic, and the trams are still rattling by nearby, which is a sound we've grown to love. It’s just a regular place where we work hard and try to keep things simple.
