Mothers Recipes

Things get pretty busy here at Mothers Recipes in Mahalaxmi Layout. We are tucked away in G-1 of Aditya Elegance, which is on the 1st Main road. It is not a massive factory or anything, just a practical kitchen space where we get the cooking and packing done. You can usually smell the spices all the way down the hallway of the building. Most days we are just busy cleaning vegetables or grinding ingredients for the different batches. The 1st X crossing can get a bit crowded with scooters, so delivery guys sometimes have a hard time finding the right gate at 23/4. We started this because we liked the way home cooking tastes compared to the stuff you buy in big plastic tubs at the supermarket. There are always containers stacked up on the counters and labels waiting to be stuck on. It isn't always perfectly organized, especially when we have three different pots going at once. Sometimes we run out of storage space and have to shift things around just to move through the kitchen. It’s mostly just a few of us working together, making sure the jars are sealed tight. We spend a lot of time washing up, to be honest. That’s the part no one sees. We just keep our heads down and work. It feels good to see the boxes go out the door every afternoon. Mahalaxmi Layout is a nice area for a small setup like this.
