Mishra Paan Chat & Juice Center

You can find us at 465 Inspection Bungalow Road in Malleswaram West. It’s a busy corner, and we’ve been here at the Mishra center for quite some time. We do a bit of everything—paan, some chat, and fresh juices. I spend most of my time behind the counter mixing things or cutting fruit. It’s a small shop, so everything is within reach. Malleswaram is a great neighborhood because people are always walking around, especially in the evenings. That’s when we get the most busy. I like the smell of the fresh betel leaves and the sweet syrup for the juices. It’s a lot of small tasks that fill up the day. I have to make sure the fruit is fresh and the ice is delivered on time. Sometimes the blender makes too much noise, but you get used to it. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in the city. We just want to serve a good juice or a proper paan to whoever walks up to the window. I know most of the people who live nearby. We chat about the weather or the local news while I’m working. It’s a decent way to spend the day. It’s just me and a couple of helpers keeping the place going. We’re just a simple shop on a busy road. I try to keep the sidewalk around the shop clear so people can walk by easily.
