Our office for Mindtree Consulting is at 164 4th Cross, 1st Main East in Kathrikuppa, Bangalore. Kathrikuppa is one of those areas that feels like real Bangalore, and we like that. The office is in a building that’s been around for a bit. It’s got a lot of character, even if the stairs are a little narrow. Inside, we have our desks set up in a way that makes it easy to talk to each other without having to get up. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at data, but we always make time for a quick break in the afternoon. It’s not a high-pressure environment in the sense of people shouting, but we do keep ourselves busy. We’re not into all that corporate talk about synergy or whatever. We just prefer to speak plainly about what’s working and what isn't. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, which helps when we need to concentrate. Most of us live not too far away, so we have a good feel for the local area. If you come by, you’ll probably see a couple of bikes parked outside and hear the sound of keyboards clicking. It’s a very practical workspace. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just what we need to get the job done. It’s a solid place to work and we’ve been here long enough to feel at home and stay productive.
