Our place is at number 16 in the Krishnareddy Layout, tucked right behind the Banu Nursing Home in Bommanhalli. If you are looking for us, you have to keep an eye out because it is a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main road. The workshop isn’t huge, but it fits everything we need to make our tools. We spend a lot of time grinding and sharpening, so there is always a layer of fine dust on the windowsills. It is a small team here, mostly just a few of us who have been working together for years. We start the day by opening up the shutters and letting some air in before the machines get going. The nursing home nearby means it is surprisingly quiet in the mornings, though the traffic starts building up soon enough. We don't have a big marketing team or a sales department. Most people who find us are regulars or they heard about us from someone else in the layout. There is an old wooden table where we keep the finished orders ready for pickup. We usually eat our lunch together in the back corner where it’s a bit cooler. It is a straightforward kind of life, working with our hands and making sure the measurements are right before anything leaves the door. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half a day fixing them ourselves. That is just how it goes when you run a small shop like this one. No one here wears a suit, just grease-stained work clothes.
