The kitchen at Meghana Food is almost never quiet. We are over on Koramangala Pune Nashik Road 124, right where the traffic starts to get really heavy in the evenings. Most of the day is spent doing prep work. Chopping vegetables, getting the rice going, and making sure we have enough plates ready for the rush. It gets hot in the back, especially during the summer months, but we're used to it. We aren't a big chain or anything. Just a local spot where people stop by because they're hungry and they know the food is fresh. Sometimes the delivery bikes take up too much space out front and we have to go out and tell them to move. It’s a bit of a scramble every lunch hour. We’ve had the same regulars coming in for years. They usually sit at the same tables and don't even need to look at what's available. We keep the place clean, though the floor gets a bit worn down from all the walking back and forth. If you come by 124, you'll probably smell the spices before you see the door. We don't spend money on big signs or bright lights. The food does what it needs to do. It’s just us working hard to get the orders out on time. Sometimes we run out of special items by eight, but that’s just how it goes when things are made daily.
