Mayuri Caterers

Mayuri Caterers sits inside the Meer Sahib Complex, which is right by the Mayura Bakery and the bus stop in Whitefield. Being so close to the bus stop means there are always people standing around outside and it gets quite crowded during the morning rush. You can usually smell the fresh bread from the bakery next door mixing with whatever we are doing in our kitchen. Our space isn't very large, so we have to be organized with where we put the big cooking pots and the gas cylinders. The floors are a bit worn down from people moving heavy equipment back and forth all day. We have been in this complex for a while and the other shop owners are all familiar faces. It is a practical setup for us because the location is easy for the staff to get to. We don't have a polished office or anything like that. It is just a kitchen with high ceilings and some old shelves for the supplies. The light in the back isn't the best, but we know where everything is. On rainy days, the water tends to pool up a bit near the entrance of the complex, so we are always jumping over puddles to get to the delivery vans. It is a bit chaotic and loud with the buses constantly pulling in and out, but it is just how the day goes here.
