Matrix Bearing Co is tucked into the Khotari Complex over on Dr Rajkumar Road in Prakash Nagar. Our unit is number 1705. It’s a very industrial kind of atmosphere here. We deal with bearings and mechanical parts, so there is always a bit of oil or grease around somewhere. The shelves are packed tight with boxes of all sizes. It’s a bit of a maze if you don't know where everything is kept. Prakash Nagar is a heavy traffic area, so getting parts delivered can be a bit of a headache sometimes with the trucks trying to navigate the narrow spots. We’ve got a small counter where we talk to customers who come in looking for specific sizes. It’s mostly just us and the inventory. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or paintings for the walls because they would just get dirty anyway. The floor is concrete and built to handle the weight of the metal we store. We keep a logbook for everything that goes out. It’s noisy because of the main road nearby, but you get used to it after a few days of working here. We usually have the radio on in the background to drown out the traffic. It’s just a regular shop where we focus on getting the right part to whoever needs it without any fuss. The days go by fast when you have a lot of orders to pack and boxes to move around.
