Jai Ramdas Group

We are located at 14 Silver Jubilee Park Road. People around here just call it SJP Road. It is one of the busiest parts of the city for hardware and tools. Jai Ramdas Group has been part of this street for quite a while. If you walk into our place, you’ll see shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling. They are stuffed with all sorts of things that you’d need for mechanical work or construction. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We don’t really have a modern filing system; we mostly know where everything is by memory. The building is old and has that specific smell of old paper and metal. There’s always a crowd outside on the street, with carts and bikes zooming past. We spend our days helping people find specific bolts or parts they can't find anywhere else. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and climbing ladders. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of rules. We just know our customers and they know us. Sometimes we sit on the wooden stools and have a chat while waiting for the next person to come in. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it has worked for us. We don’t put on any acts. We just sell what people need and go home to our families. It is a long day, but it is good work and we are used to the noise.
