Sai Vastra Vinyas

Our place is in the Banashankari Complex, right on 12th Cross in Puptenahalli. It’s on the main road, just behind the Tatian Shop in the 7th Phase of J P Nagar. It’s a good location, though parking can be a bit of a mess sometimes. Inside Sai Vastra Vinyas, we have rolls of fabric and various garments all over. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting. The floor usually has some thread and scraps of cloth laying around. We have a few sewing machines that run for most of the day. The sound of the needles clicking is something we’ve gotten used to. It’s a bit cramped because we try to fit a lot of stock into the space we have. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the work. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the long afternoons. The shop gets a lot of natural light from the front, which helps when we are looking at colors. We don’t do any big marketing. Most people just walk in because they are passing by the complex. It is a practical business. We focus on the clothes and getting them ready for whoever needs them. It’s been our daily routine for quite a while now. We just like being part of the neighborhood here in J P Nagar. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to finish.
