Master Ka Zaika

Master Ka Zaika is tucked away in C V Raman Nagar 8th Cross. The full address is Ganapathy Nagar, Rajgopal Nagar Main Road, which sounds like a lot but it is just a corner spot. We do most of the cooking ourselves using recipes we have used for years. It is a bit of a walk from the main bus stop but people still find us. The 8th Cross area is mostly residential so we see the same faces every day. We have a few tables that wobble a bit if you lean on them too hard. We don't have a big staff, just a few people helping out with the serving and the cleaning. The Rajgopal Nagar Main Road is always noisy with horns and traffic. We try to ignore it and focus on the stove. Sometimes we run out of certain items by dinner time because we don't overstock the fridge. It’s better to have things fresh anyway. We don't have any awards or big reviews on the wall. We just have a small chalkboard where we write what is available for the day. The kitchen floor is made of stone and it stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We spend a lot of time just sitting and talking to customers when it isn't busy. It’s a quiet life in Ganapathy Nagar and we are okay with that. We just keep doing what we know and hope people like the food enough to come back. That is our routine.
