Masala Craft Restaurant

We're tucked away on Shamrao Vitthal Marg Off Lamington Road 32, right in the heart of Indira Nagar. It's a narrow street and finding a parking spot is basically impossible most days. Masala Craft Restaurant started because we just liked to cook, and it turned into this. The kitchen is small and we’re always bumping into each other when it gets busy. We use a lot of spices, so the air usually has a bit of a kick to it that makes you sneeze if you aren't used to it. The walls are painted a color we thought looked good ten years ago, but now it’s just faded. We don't mind. The regulars don't seem to mind either. They come for the food, not the decor. We have a few waiters who have been with us since the start. They know the menu by heart and don't even need to write things down half the time. Sometimes the sink leaks or a bulb flickers, and we just fix it when we have a spare minute between orders. It’s a lot of hard work and we’re usually pretty tired by the time we lock up at night. We don't have any awards on the wall or fancy write-ups. We just have a lot of dirty dishes at the end of the day and a feeling that we did a decent job.
