Maruthi Printers

Maruthi Printers is located right on Magadi Main Road, specifically near Church Road. We are pretty easy to find since we are just opposite the Syndicate Bank, which is a big landmark for everyone around here. The shop is usually a bit of a mess with stacks of paper and boxes of finished cards waiting to be picked up. We have a few old machines that make a lot of clicking sounds when they are running fast. Most of the work involves getting wedding invitations or business flyers ready for the locals. It is a busy stretch of road, so there is always traffic noise and dust coming in through the front door. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass on the scanners or fixing paper jams. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit and wait, which is just part of living in this part of town. The family helps out when things get really crowded, especially during the wedding season when everyone wants their orders finished at once. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the ink and the cutters. It’s honest work and we like being in this neighborhood because we get to talk to everyone who walks past on their way to the bank or the church. We just keep our heads down and keep the rollers turning until the sun goes down.
