Manju Hair Salon

We have been running this small shop, Manju Hair Salon, at No. 14, Shop No. 3 on the 2nd Main in Vinoba Nagar. This is in the Kadugondanahalli area, near the Arabic College Post. It is a quiet neighborhood compared to the main roads of Bangalore. Our shop is part of a small row of buildings where everyone knows each other. We have a simple glass front and a couple of chairs inside. The space is a bit tight, but we make it work. Most of our tools are kept in a drawer under the main mirror. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working through the day. The street outside is narrow, so you mostly see people walking or on scooters. There is a small grocery store nearby where we hear the neighbors chatting. We do basic haircuts and shaves for the local residents. Sometimes we have to step out for a minute to get change from the shop next door. The floor is old stone, and the walls have some shelves for the bottles of oil and cream we use. It is a humble place, and we don't try to make it look like something it isn't. We just provide a spot for the men in Vinoba Nagar to get a trim without any fuss. The work is steady, and we like the routine of the morning rush and the quiet evening hours.
