Mallur Sree Krishna Medical & General Shop

This shop has been at 46 Malleshwaram for quite some time. It is a small place but we try to keep it stocked with the things people in the neighborhood need every day. We have medicines on the shelves and also general items like soap or snacks. Malleshwaram is one of those older parts of the city where everyone seems to know each other and we see the same faces coming in every week. It gets busy in the mornings and then again in the evenings when people are coming home from their jobs. We spend most of our time standing behind the counter or moving boxes around to find a specific brand of something. The shelves are a bit crowded because we want to make sure we have what people ask for. It is not a fancy supermarket where everything is spread out. It is just a local shop. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and people stand under our awning to stay dry for a minute. We talk to the customers about the weather or how the local traffic is getting worse. It is just a normal life running a store like this. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the inventory is right and the change is counted correctly at the end of the day. It is a simple business but it keeps us busy from open to close and we like being part of the street.
