Malabar Coast

We are set up on Marthahalli Commercial Street, specifically on Kamaraj Road in Aswat Nagr. It’s right near that new railway flyover, which has actually made it a bit easier for people to find us, though the construction noise was a headache for a long time. Malabar Coast is the name we chose because of the kind of food we grew up with. The street outside is always packed with people shopping or just walking to the bus stop, so there’s never a quiet moment. Our shop has a high ceiling but it still feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock delivered. The paint is peeling a bit near the window because of the damp, and the front counter has a few scratches on it from years of use. We don't really bother with fancy uniforms or anything like that; we just wear what’s comfortable for working in a hot kitchen. It’s a busy spot and we spend most of our time just trying to keep up with the orders. Sometimes the delivery bikes block the entrance and we have to go out and tell them to move. It’s just the daily struggle of running a place in such a crowded part of Bangalore. We don't have any big plans to expand or anything, we just want to keep things going as they are and make sure we don't run out of ingredients before the day is over. It's a lot of work but it's what we do.
