Mahaveer Enterprises

Avenue Road is always busy, and we’ve been here at 32/2 for quite some time now. Being right near Lakshmi Silk House means there is always a crowd outside, mostly people looking for fabrics or wedding stuff. Our place, Mahaveer Enterprises, is just a regular spot where we handle our daily work. It gets loud with the traffic and the honking, but that is just how it is around 5th Main. We open up early, usually after a quick tea from the stall around the corner. Some days are packed with people asking questions, and other days we just sit and sort through things. The shop isn't fancy or anything. It has old shelves and the floor is a bit worn out from all the walking. We know most of the other shop owners nearby. If someone needs something, they usually just pop their head in. It is a lot of work keeping up with everything, especially when the rain starts and the road gets muddy. We don't really do much fancy talk here. We just show up, do the tasks for the day, and close when it gets dark. Most of the people who come in are locals who have been coming for years. They know exactly where we are, tucked away near the silk house. It’s a simple life, just running the business and dealing with whatever comes through the door. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just wait it out. That's just part of being on Avenue Road.
