Our place is in the Kolla Complex on Avenue Road, right in the middle of all the noise in Bangalore. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets with all the carts and people rushing everywhere. We are at 538/1-2 and have been operating from this spot for years. The mornings are usually the best time because it’s a little cooler before the sun hits the street. We start by cleaning the front and checking what came in the night before. Dealing with stuff on Avenue Road means you have to be quick because there’s no room to stand around. We have a few regulars who stop by just to say hello or ask about prices. It’s mostly just us three working here, trying to keep the ledger books straight and the inventory organized. The building itself is old, so the stairs can be a bit of a climb when we’re carrying things. We usually eat our lunch in the back room while listening to the traffic outside. It’s loud, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't have any big signs or anything, just the name on the door. It’s a simple setup. We just try to make sure we have what people are looking for when they walk through the door. The days go by fast when you have so much to move and so many people to talk to.
