Madhumitha

My place, which I just call Madhumitha, is situated in New Thippasandra, right at Anand Nilay near the Karve Statue Chowk, specifically at 965 C 2. It is a local spot that a lot of people walk past every day on their way to the market or the bus stop. I have been here for a long time, and the shop has become a bit of a second home to me. The space is a little cramped because I have a lot of things tucked away in the corners, but I like it that way. It feels lived in. I do not spend any money on fancy decorations or big signs. The name on the door is enough for people to know I am open. Most days, I am just sitting behind the counter or moving things around to make more space. I talk to the neighbors and the people who live nearby. We do not have a big website or anything like that. I just rely on people knowing where I am and what I do. Being near the Karve Statue Chowk means there is always something going on outside, which keeps things interesting. I handle everything personally, from cleaning the floor in the morning to locking up at night. It is a lot of work for one person, but I have been doing it so long it just feels natural now. I just keep the door open and wait for the day to start.
