Madhu Water Supply

Madhu Water Supply is run out of Madivala, near the Jain Wadi Haja Patel Pole at number 29 1. It’s an old part of the area with narrow lanes that make it quite a challenge to drive our water tankers through. We’ve been providing water to the local houses and some small businesses around here for a long time. Our setup is very simple. We have a small place where we keep the keys and the logbooks. Most of our work is done out on the street, connecting pipes and filling up those plastic tanks people have on their roofs. The drivers have to be really careful with the turns in these small streets. We know most of the families in the neighborhood by name because we see them every week. Sometimes there is a problem with the pump or a truck breaks down, and we have to spend a few hours getting it back on the road. It isn't a fancy business with a website or anything like that. We mostly just talk to people face to face or on the phone. The work is physical and we often end up quite tired by the end of the shift. We just try to get to everyone who called us by the end of the day. It’s a basic service that people need, and we’ve been doing it long enough that it’s just part of our life now. We usually sit outside for a bit after the last delivery is done for the night.
