Up in Rajarajeshwari Nagar 5, you’ll find us at M N Pickles. The air around here usually smells like mustard seeds and vinegar, which I guess is expected. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. It’s a bit of a tight space once you get all the jars and the crates stacked up. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room to turn around. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It's just a place where we get the work done. The floor is often a bit sticky even though we try to keep it clean. Rajarajeshwari Nagar is a nice enough neighborhood, though the traffic on the main road can be a real headache in the evenings. We usually open up the shutters early in the morning when it’s still cool outside. By midday, it gets pretty hot and we have to keep the fans going at full speed. Neighbors sometimes stop by just to say hello or complain about the spicy smell when we’re mixing a big batch. We just keep our heads down and fill the containers one by one. It’s repetitive work, but it’s what we know. There’s a specific way we have to stack everything so it doesn't fall over. We don't have fancy labels or a marketing team. It’s just us, the pickles, and the daily grind at number 5.
